SMTP

  1. Email Sending: When a user fills out a contact form or performs a specific action, the website initiates email sending through SMTP. The user's contact information and message content are transmitted from the website to the SMTP server and then sent to the specified recipient.
  1. Communication: Websites utilize SMTP to establish communication with visitors. Users can communicate with site administrators or relevant individuals through communication forms for support requests, questions, or feedback. SMTP ensures that this communication reaches the intended recipients.
  1. Automatic Notifications: Websites utilize SMTP to send email-based communications such as automatic notifications or email verification links to users. For example, when a user creates an account, requests a password reset, or a purchase is confirmed, an automatic email can be sent. SMTP facilitates the delivery of these automated email communications.

Active Directory

  • Centralized Management: AD enables centralized management of users, groups, computers, printers, and other network resources. This simplifies the task of network administrators in effectively managing and controlling resources.
  • Directory Service: AD is a database that stores information about users and objects. Various resources and services such as users, groups, computers, printers, files, and more are defined within AD and their data is centrally managed.
  • Policy Management: Active Directory provides centralized management of policies and security settings on the network. This includes defining and enforcing policies such as password complexity requirements, session durations, access controls, and other security policies.
