Introduction​

The Robbot Agent is a desktop application designed to connect to the Robbot Run server and perform assigned tasks. This documentation focuses on the Robbot Agent connection feature, explaining the process of connecting the agent to the server and executing tasks.

Connection Process​

The Robbot Agent connects to the Robbot Run server using the following steps:

  1. The user launches the Robbot Agent desktop application and enters the Server URL provided by the server administrator.

  2. The agent submits a connection request to the server, indicating its readiness to receive tasks and perform automation actions.

  3. The server administrator receives the connection request in the Robbot Run web application and approves it.

3.1. Administrator approves the request.

  1. Upon approval, the agent establishes a connection with the server using the provided Server URL and Agent ID.

  2. The Robbot Agent is now connected to the server and ready to receive and execute tasks.

Task Execution​

Once the Robbot Agent is connected to the server, it can receive and execute tasks as follows:

  1. The server administrator assigns tasks to the connected agent from the Robbot Run web application.

  2. The assigned tasks are received by the agent, which processes and executes them according to their specifications.

  3. The Robbot Agent performs the necessary actions to complete the assigned tasks, which may include interacting with applications, manipulating data, or executing predefined automation scripts.

  4. The agent reports the execution status and outcome of each task back to the server, providing updates on task progress and completion.

Usage​

Connecting the Robbot Agent​

To connect the Robbot Agent to the server, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Robbot Agent desktop application.

  2. Enter the Server URL and Agent ID provided by the server administrator.

  3. Submit the connection request to the server.

  4. Wait for the server administrator to approve the connection request.

  5. Once approved, the Robbot Agent will establish a connection with the server.
